Monday May 6 Meet your coach and Storehouse Tours tour escort and begin traveling north to Nashville, TN.  We’ll check into our hotel for the night and enjoy an included welcome dinner. D

Tuesday May 7 Today we continue our journey through the rolling hills of Tennessee toward the town of Holland, Michigan. The town's Dutch heritage has been preserved and celebrated, creating an opportunity for a true Dutch experience in the spring as millions of tulips bloom throughout the city for the Tulip Time Festival. After checking into our local hotel, this evening has been reserved for a surprise Dutch dinner show!   B D

Wednesday May 8 After breakfast, we join our local guide for a tour of the town featuring Tulip Lane and millions of flowering tulips throughout the town’s roads and parks. We will make a stop at Veldheer’s Tulip Farm, famed for having over 800 tulip varieties and 6 million plantings, and visit DeKlomp Wooden Shoe & Delftware factory. At this double Dutch delight, you can talk with the artists as they mold, hand-paint, and glaze the only authentic blue and white delftware made in the U.S., or watch the wooden shoes as they’re carved on machines imported from the Netherlands. We’ll stop at the Dutch Market Platz for lunch where you can savor traditional Dutch treats in the Dutch food court before strolling through displays of featured Dutch vendors.  Then take your bleacher seat for the 2019 Volksparade.  Once the Mayor and the City Council don their white gloves and inspect the parade route, the Town Crier declares that the “streets need scrubbing” and the Metal Flow Volksparade kicks off. Marching bands, amazing floats, and entertainers wind their way down the freshly scrubbed streets. Bringing up the “tail end” of the parade are the infamous Dutch Dogs!  Dinner will be hosted at one of the local churches this evening.  B D

Thursday May 9 Bid farewell to the Tulips and head East to the Bavarian town of Frankenmuth, home to Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, the World’s Largest Christmas Store. Christmas Lane at Bronner’s is illuminated 365 days a year with over 50,000 strings of lights, and The Silent Night Memorial Chapel is wonderful any time of year.  Enjoy plenty of time to shop this incredible store before we meet our local guide for a tour of the town. Check into The Bavarian Inn Lodge before enjoying their famous Chicken dinner along with entertainment, including group singing of the famous German “Schnitzelbank Song.”  B D

Friday May 10 After an impressive breakfast buffet we continue our journey to Dearborn and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation. Step into a world where past innovations fuel the imagination of generations to come. A vibrant exploration of genius in all its forms, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation allows you to experience the strides of America’s greatest minds while fully immersing yourself in their stories. Step inside the bus where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Play pilot as you explore flight innovations, starting with the Wright brothers' achievements, or make yourself at home inside Buckminster Fuller’s circular Dymaxion House. Put yourself in the place of the movers and shakers who blazed the trail to where we stand today.  Continuing south, we enter the state of Ohio and overnight in Akron, nestled along the shores of the Ohio & Erie Canalway. Dinner on own this evening. B

Saturday May 11 Akron, being the home of Quaker Oats, will start us off today with a healthy breakfast.  Meet our local guide for a tour of the Ohio Amish Country.  These folks lead a simple life of strong religious morals and without the use of modern “fancy” gadgets such as electricity and powered vehicles!  Our guide will explain Amish beliefs and their way of life and we will stop at the one room school house as well as an Amish Arts & Crafts center.  We end at the incredible Lehman’s Hardware Store. Embrace the past: from old-fashioned treats and sodas to practical, non-electric goods that help you live a simpler life. Shop and reminisce your way through thousands of products while browsing the impressive antique collection located throughout the store.  As we continue our journey south we enter the Mountaineer State of West Virginia and check into the Beckley Hotel.  A farewell dinner is included at The Tamarack Trading Post.
