Conway Glass, located in the Mayfair neighborhood of Conway, houses a stained glass studio, a dye studio, a fiber studio and a glass blowing studio with gallery. Owners and acclaimed artists, Ed and Barbara Streeter, have been a glass blowing team for the past 20 years using traditional techniques and tools to create amazing blown glass art, bowls, vases and sculptures. You will be entertained and absolutely mesmerized when you
watch these artisans take a blob of molten glass and transform it into a beautiful art object.
After lunch we visit a Grand Strand hidden jewel - the Horry County Museum focuses on the presentation of exhibits on the history, prehistory and natural history of the county. Located at the
1905 Burroughs School, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum features a variety of old tools, a textile exhibit, a highly acclaimed photographic gallery, a natural history exhibit, a military exhibit and a Native American exhibit. Explore the 4,400-gallon freshwater aquarium that was featured on Animal Planets hit show “Tanked”. Stocked with a variety of freshwater fish that are found in local rivers and lakes, the aquarium is the focal point of the museum.
